Some Don'ts With Phentermine

  • Never crush, chew or open a phentermine tablet or capsule. It needs to be swallowed whole and should be taken properly.
  • Never take any dose of phentermine more than what is prescribed as it is a habit forming pill and can lead to problems.
  • Never drive, operate heavy machinery, or perform any such activity. This is because the pill might cause some dizziness.
  • Never take phentermine if you have any heart problem, blood pressure, artiosclerosis, glaucoma, or a history of drug abuse. This includes alcohol abuse as well.
  • Never consume caffeine products along with phentermine as it increases the heartbeat rate and may lead to danger.
  • Never take the pill if you are pregnant. Check with your doctor first, in case you desperately need to.
  • Never take the pill if you are feeding your baby. Check with your doctor first, in case you desperately need to.
  • Never take the pill in evening as it may cause insomnia.
  • Never store the pill in a moistened area.
  • Never take a double dose of Phentermine even when you have missed a dose. Wait for the time for next dose and take a single dose.
  • Never continue taking Phentermine if you feel any difficulty in breathing, closing of throat, swelling of lips, tongue, or face.
  • Stop the use immediately if there is an irregular heartbeat or high blood pressure.
  • Never take the pill if you are taking isocarboxazid (Marplan), tranylcypromine (Parnate), or phenelzine (Nardil). This is valid even if you have taken these in the last fifteen days.
  • Never take the pill if you are on to any other medication. If you really want to, consult your doctor and decide accordingly. Even normal cough and cold medicines may harm the patient when they interact with Phentermine drug. So you need to extra careful.
