Your Metabolism Is In Your Hands

Stop giving excuses that you were born with a weak metabolic system! Your metabolism is in your hands; your metabolism can be as fast as that of a sprinter. All you need to do is to make certain changes in your lifestyle along with an hour of dedicated exercise. Metabolism is the process in which enzymes inside the body's cell break the food every time you eat and convert it into energy that keeps your heart beating, your mind thinking, and your entire body moving.

The faster your metabolism works the more calories you burn. The more you burn, the easier it is to drop pounds and to remain fit and healthy. Minor day to day changes can help you get a better metabolism. Here are certain tips which can do wonders to get you a superb metabolism, keeping you fit, healthy and good looking.

Have a good breakfast everyday. Never skip your breakfast. If you don't, your body goes into starvation mode, so your metabolism slows to a crawl to conserve energy. Make sure that you have a healthy breakfast. Try a mix of lean protein with complex carbohydrates and healthy fats, like this power breakfast like an omelet made from one egg and two egg whites and a half cup of mixed peppers and onions, plus a half cup of cooked steel-cut oats mixed with a quarter cup of frozen berries and a teaspoon of omega-3-loaded fish oil. Drink a lot of water. At least 8-12 glass of water should be consumed everyday.

Pick up protein diet for lunch during work hours. Cramming protein into every meal helps build and maintain lean muscle mass. Aim for about 30 grams of protein-the equivalent of about one cup of low-fat cottage cheese or a four-ounce boneless chicken breast-at each meal. Brew up some green tea. It's the closest thing to a metabolism potion.

Slow your workout sessions- It is not as easy as it seems to be. While strength training count till 3 as you lower the weight back to the start position. Slowing things down increases the breakdown of muscle tissue, which is a good thing. The repair process pumps up your metabolism for as long as 72 hours after your session

Sleep early and sleep well- When you sleep less than you should, you throw off the amounts of leptin and ghrelin hormones that help regulate energy use and appetite that your body produces. People who sleep less than 7.5 hours per night experienced an increase in their body mass index. So make sure you get at least eight hours of rest.
