Waist: circumference
A measurement of the waist. Fat around the waist increases
the risk of obesity-related
health problems. Women with a waist measurement of more than
35 inches or men with a waist measurement of more than 40
inches have a higher risk of developing obesity-related health
problems, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart
disease.
Warm Up:Gentle,
slow exercise at the beginning of a workout to prepare muscles,
heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature for an activity.
Weight Bearing Exercise:Exercise
in which you support your weight or lift weight. Lifting weights
or doing weight- bearing exercise (such as running, skiing
or walking) can help slow down the rate of bone loss and osteoporosis,
and therefore reduce fractures.
