Food Pyramid helps in Weight Loss

You can take greater control of your health through the food choices you make, knowing that some foods provide specific health benefits. Examples include everything from fruits and vegetables to fortified or enhanced foods. Biologically active components in food impart health benefits or desirable physiological effects.

The US Department of Agriculture keeps on issuing guidelines for healthy living and has recently released the new Food Pyramid. Accordingly, a single pyramid has been replaced by 12 pyramids which are individually tailored to suit various life styles. This model is also being adopted by weight loss support groups like LA Weight Loss since 1989.

The premise behind this model is that diet plans must be customized to the individual according to their lifestyle, activity levels, and age groups. LA weight loss also stresses on one-on -one counseling and personalized meal plans developed specifically to individual needs.
