Arena's Obesity Drug helps in
Weight Loss

Arena Pharmaceuticals Inc. reported positive results
from a midstage clinical trial of its anti-obesity drug
APD356. The company added that the drug was well tolerated
at all doses and had no apparent effects on heart valves
or pulmonary artery pressure. After 12 weeks of using
the drug, patients showed a statistically significant
amount of weight loss.
The user of the drug dropped an average of 4 pounds,
5.7 pounds and 7.9 pounds at respective daily doses
of 10 milligrams, 15 milligrams and 20 milligrams. As
far as the result of the clinical trial goes, the diet
pill is going to provide immense relief to a huge number
of people suffering from obesity. It's going to work
as a new means of weight loss.
