Gastric bypass can be a weight-loss
option

Question: I know you will probably disagree, but I
really have tried everything to lose
weight. I am well above 100 pounds overweight and
am seriously considering gastric bypass surgery. I don't
want to live like this anymore. Should I do it ?
Answer: I understand your plight and suggest that you
get expert medical advice and clearance before getting
surgery. Explore all options, then make an informed
decision.
I will share the story of a friend of mine. She is
a wonderful person who battled her weight for years.
Her weight had become very close to 390. She worked
hard in the gym and on her eating habits, but garnered
only moderate results.
She recently told me that she decided to have the surgery
and lost an amazing 190 pounds. Her personal journey
led her to take the necessary and brave steps to shed
the weight that would have eventually ended her life
prematurely. She is now under 200 pounds, exercises
at least three times a week, eats healthy and is still
losing weight.
There will, of course, be insensitive detractors who
will say that she was lazy and should have lost weight
"the old-fashioned way."
However, they don't know my friend, nor do they know
you or anything about your situation. Each person is
unique, so consult a physician and explore all options
available.
Whichever way you go, consistent exercise, prudent
eating habits and a commitment to a healthy habits should
be the foundation of your lifestyle.
Your statement of "I am tired of living like this"
is your first step to success. Don't ever forget saying
those words during this process and you will always
have the motivation to keep focused on your goals.
I am sure that you will soon be lean, mean and just
like my friend, walking with a swagger!
