Teen Lean action via herbs :
Fructose crystalline
Fructose or Fruit Sugar also called
Levulose is naturally occurring in most fruits and some
vegetables. A crystalline form was developed
in the late 1970's and early 80's which is marked today
as both crystalline fructose and crystalline fructose
syrup (crystalline fructose plus water). Both
contain almost pure fructose and a minute amount of
dextrose. Fructose crystalline is a sugar made from
corn that has a low glycemic index and therefore doesn't
cause the dramatic rise in blood sugar that table sugar
(sucrose) does. Using fructose also helps you decrease
caloric intake, since it is twice as sweet as table
sugar, but has the same caloric density.
Insulin
Insulin enables our cells to take up glucose
from the bloodstream and use it for energy. This gives
us the ability to do everything from lifting a finger
to recalling memories to running a marathon.
L-Glutamine
L-Glutamine plays an important role in many
bodily functions such as protein synthesis, brain function,
intestinal health, blood sugar, and energy levels. It
is an amino acid often in short supply in teens. It
converts more quickly into glucose than other amino
acids and therefore helps maintain healthy blood sugar
levels. Because this amino acid helps build and maintain
muscle, supplemental glutamine is useful for dieters
and persons doing strength-training exercises. More
importantly it helps to prevent the kind of muscle wasting
that can accompany prolonged bed rest. Enhances recovery
and encourages the growth of bigger, stronger, muscles
thru cell volumization. It is an amino acid. Aids in
muscle tissue repair, enhances immune system.
FOS (probiotic)
Balances your intestinal micro flora and promotes
good digestion (bowel and immune system function). FOS
is a naturally occurring complex carbohydrate found
in small amounts in various plants. Along with other
starchlike oligosaccharides such as inulin, FOS is mostly
indigestible. It serves as an intestinal nutrient for
the probiotic beneficial bacteria that naturally populate
the gut. FOS thus promotes the ability of these bacteria
to benefit overall health, especially their power to
support proper digestion. FOS supplements seem to benefit
cardiovascular
health by reducing blood fats and total cholesterol
levels and lowering blood pressure.
Lecithin
Lecithin is a common source of Choline. Studies
have shown that taking lecithin can decrease cholesterol
levels, is a fat emulsifier, and helps the body absorb
nutrients.
Hydroxycitric acid ( HCA
) has shown in studies the ability to curb
appetite, reduce food intake and inhibit the production
of fats and cholesterol. HCA inhibits
the enzyme ATP-citrate Iyase which
is the enzyme that converts glucose molecules into fat
and cholesterol.

rice is used as thickening agent for sauces, puddings
